Built by technical writers, for engineering teams
We started from one observation: the people translating critical installation manuals rarely know how the product works.
Why we exist
A mistranslated torque value or a softened warning is not a linguistic slip. It is a safety risk in someone's workshop, and a liability for the manufacturer whose name is on the manual.
Generic agencies treat technical documents as text. We treat them as controlled documents: agreed terminology, a defined process, hold points that stop work until criteria are met, and evidence of every check.
Who leads the work
The work is led by a technical author with over 20 years in engineering and technical documentation. That experience spans aerospace propulsion, Formula 1, autonomous vehicles, motorcycles, materials handling and servo-hydraulic test systems.
The background is in engineering and quality first, then technical authoring: writing and controlling the user, installation and maintenance manuals that operators and technicians rely on.
That is the standard each translation is held to.
How we work
- Terminology first
- Your engineers approve the critical terms before translation starts. Those terms are then applied everywhere.
- No guessing
- When the source is unclear, the linguist asks. Every query and answer is logged.
- Safety messages checked
- Every signal word and hazard statement is back-translated and compared with the source.
- Clear scope
- We are responsible for the translation. You remain responsible for the source content and the product.
Partner
We work alongside CorridorIQ, which assesses whether a manufacturer's instruction set would hold up under the new EU product liability and machinery rules, and authors the technical documentation that follows.
The two services meet at the source document. A contradiction between two manuals found before translation is corrected once. Found after translation, it has to be corrected in every language.
